Dorchester Day, the annual celebration of Boston’s largest and most diverse neighborhood, takes place this weekend with a series of events highlighted by the Dot Day Parade on Sunday, June 4th. The 3.2-mile march up Dorchester Avenue features marching bands, dance groups, politicians, and plenty of familiar faces. The parade starts at 1:00 p.m. in Lower Mills at the corner of Washington Street & Dorchester Avenue.
Celebrate summer with a family-friendly picnic concert on the beautiful Hutchinson’s Field in Milton on Saturday, June 3rd from 5pm - 7pm. Enjoy the music of awesome Boston-based Afropop band Kina Zoré, and purchase tasty grilled cheeses and tots from Mom on the Go food truck and ice cream from Smiles by the Mile.
